Accurate, On-demand Labeling at Line-side

SPEDE Push-Button Labeling is a wireless error-proof solution for labeling Finished Parts at the point of manufacture.

The patented SPEDE RF Push-button, installed at line-side, can be set-up to print only the label for the Part being made. Once the Push-button is set-up for a particular label, no other label can print.

The Push-Button connects to your 802.11 network, and communicates with the SPEDE Labeling Software on a server PC. The Push-button also connects to a line-side label printer via RF or serial port.

When a label is needed, the operator pushes the button to send a command to the SPEDE Labeling Software. SPEDE sends the correct data to the line-side printer, the label prints, and is immediately applied to the container of parts being packed.

There's no PC to use, no decision-making about which label to print, and no leaving the work cell to print labels. SPEDE maintains a real-time database of Part Number/ Label data, sourced from your ERP system, to ensure accuracy and eliminate data entry labor and errors.

Prints the Correct Label - Every Time

The SPEDE RF Push-Button has a small 5x7" footprint so it easily fits into tight spaces at line-side.

To set-up the Push-button for the correct label, simply scan a barcode on the Push-button, and a barcode on the Work Order. The SPEDE Labeling Software creates a logical association between the two data elements, to ensure the correct label will print every time the button is pushed.

After set-up, a sample label can be printed and affixed to the Teflon surface of the Push-button to indicate the current label set-up.
