The SPEDE Line-side Labeler solution is an easy, wireless way to print labels on-demand, using real-time data from your host system.

The solution uses a Symbol MK500 RF terminal, installed at the production line, to control which label can be printed at that line.

The MK500 can be set-up to print only the label for the Part Number being made at that line. The label data will display onscreen.The MK500 connects to a label printer at the production line via RF or serial port.

When a label is needed, the operator just touches the screen.The SPEDE Labeling Software, which resides on a server PC connected to your 802.11 network, sends the correct data to the printer at that line, and the label immediately prints. SPEDE maintains a real-time Label Database using data from your ERP system.

PLC-Triggered Labeling, Too

Labels can also be printed automatically via signal from a PLC. When interfaced to a PLC, the MK500 will trigger a label to print when it receives a signal that a pack count of good parts has been made.
