The SPEDE Inter-plant Transfer module automates the process of tracking Work-in-Process inventory that is shipped between your facilities for additional processing.

By scnning the serial number on the WIP units as they are loaded into the trailer, you can eliminate paperwork, and provide accurate visibility of all material located inoutside processing.

Inter-plant transfers are recorded automatically by scanning the serial numbers of the outgoing units of inventory. This simple scanning step eliminates paperwork and data entry, and provides a precise record of all inventory sent for outside processing.

“Internal ASN” Provides Traceability

SPEDE enables all of your facilities to utilize the same serialized inventory label and SPEDE software platform to track and trace work-in-process inventory shipped between your facilities.

At the Shipping Facility -

The serialized outbound containers are scanned or RFID-read as they are loaded into the trailer. This creates an electronic manifest of the trailer's contents, similar to an ASN, but without the need for EDI. The SPEDE System at your Shipping facility sends this "ASN" to the SPEDE System at the Destination facility, notifying them of the shipment en route.

At the Destination Facility -

When the material arrives at the Destination facility, it is scanned or RFID read and automatically verified against the "ASN". It is received into the Desitination Facility's WIP inventory system.

Lot/serial Traceability continues from Receiving through WIP processes at the Destination facility’s site.
