Inventory Control

The SPEDE Inter-plant Transfer module automates the tracking of WIP inventory shipped between your facilities, eliminating paperwork, and providing accurate visibility of material in outside processing. You will know exactly what was shipped, when, and to where.

Tracks WIP Transfers via Serial Number

The serialized WIP label affixed to the unit of WIP provides the mechanism for tracking each WIP unit, and for recording the location transfer. SPEDE enables all of your facilities to utilize the same serialized inventory label, and the same software platform to accurately control, track and trace inventory.

“Internal ASN” Provides Verification and Traceability

At the Shipping facility, the serialized outbound containers are scanned or RFID-read as they are loaded into the trailer. This procedure automatically creates an electronic manifest of the trailer's contents, similar to an “internal” ASN, but without the need for EDI. The SPEDE System at your Shipping facility sends this "ASN" to the SPEDE System at the Destination facility, notifying them of the shipment en route.

When the material arrives at the Destination facility, it is scanned or RFID read, verified against the "ASN", and received real-time into the Destination facility's SPEDE System. Lot/serial traceability can continue from Receiving through WIP processes at the Destination facility’s site. When the completed WIP is transferred back to the Shipping facility, the same scan-to-ship procedure is used, which again creates an internal ASN, providing an exact record of the shipment

SPEDE enables facilities within the enterprise to transact electronically with each other, even if they are using different ERP systems.
